Since 2009, Lawmakers did community works (Umuganda) in 27 Districts.

The plenary session of Chamber of Deputies, on 23th December 2011, examined Political Affairs Committee’s report on community work (Umuganda), that Deputies did in different Districts of the country in order to share with the community ideas on development programs and to know their problems.

MPs join other Organizations in a special community work (Umuganda) dedicated to anti-erosive works at Mont Kigali

MPs and parliamentary staff on Saturday 10 December 2011 joined other government and private Organizations in an “Umuganda” organised in a bid to combat soil erosion on the hilly area commonly known as “Mont Kigali” located in Kiruhura Village, Nyabugogo Cell of Kigali Sector. The Police and the Army lent hand in the activity.

Ugandan MPs on study tour in Rwanda on gender-related issues

A delegation from the Parliament of Uganda led by Hon. Jachan Omach, MP and Finance State Minister is in Rwanda on a study tour focused on gender equality and gender budgeting, their implementation and the role of Parliament of Rwanda in those policies.
